In 2020, Ironwood celebrates 14 years as an Australian ensemble, committed to exploring historically informed performance of repertoire from baroque, classical and romantic eras on period instruments.

Formed in 2006, core members are Rachael Beesley, Julia Fredersdorff, Robin Wilson, Anna McMichael (violin), Simon Oswell (viola), Daniel Yeadon (cello) and Neal Peres Da Costa (historic keyboards).

In 2020 Ironwood also celebrates 14 years researching, performing, touring nationally and internationally, recording and educating many of Australia’s leading historically informed performers.

In 2021 Ironwood will present a series of concerts with invited guests at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and tour nationally as well as record and continue education programs.
